For weeks, conservative's idea for winning has been to be MORE of what those they need (Independents and 9/11 Democrats) are NOT.
Now we know that conservatives couldn't even muster a "true" conservative to win the Republican nominee, much less win back Congress or keep the White House. They claim they have tried "lite" and "moderate". NOW, they think a "real" conservative will somehow win.
How's this for an idea?
How about trying a "real Republican."? You know the ADULT, pragmatic, willing to accept those who agree with them most of the time, Republicans?
The Republicans who don't have a test in order to give you their loyalty.
The Republicans who welcome different opinions, strong enough in their convictions to meet a disagreement without name calling.
The Republicans whose principles allow compromise to attain funding for troops, filling judical seats, and attaining and keeping majorities.
The Republicans that focus on what unites us, instead of a utopia that only a minority would find joy in.
The Republicans that proudly stand with their party, finding no shame in saying, I AM a Republican.
But Sanity...that sounds like Bush...and Reagan (before his ex-speech writers rewrote his history)...
Yeah, and THEY WON.
